Those lucky ladies lucky enough to own some pricy pieces of jewelry may not think they have a use for costume jewelry, but there will always be times when these are the better choice.

If you have ever been unlucky to have lost a piece of jewelry, you will probably know how painful that can be. Not just in terms of money but sentimental value as well.

You may wonder if anyone will realize you are not wearing the real thing. That is not much of a worry these days as so many people in the public eye are wearing costume jewelry to, can you spot the difference.

Jewelry that is not made of real diamonds and other materials is so nice these days that it can be hard to tell the difference without an up close and in-depth inspection.

When you choosing to buy costume jewelry, you can either go for the five or ten dollar pieces, but they are not going to be made very well. So look at pieces that are a little bit more .

If you have the cash for the real pieces, this should not be too much of a problem for you. You may not find the exact copies of your jewelry,  but you can find items that are very close.

Costume jewelry is now made better than ever before. It is not only about what types of  materials are used, but about the workmanship as well.

When would you wear costume jewelry as apposed to the real thing. Think about the times when you may be in a situation where it could be very easy to damage it or lose it entirely.

If you love going out to clubs, that might not be the best time to wear a real diamond necklace. Someone may catch or snag it the wrong way and it is broken and lost immediately.

If you are going on a boat, just one false move could send your non costume jewelry right down to the bottom of the sea, never to be seen again.

You are normal safe when you wear your real diamond engagement ring, normally that is one thing we don't lose. Having said that we do have to think about keeping it in good condition.

So if you are doing something that may cause damage, may be if you do rock climbing or any sports that are likely to catch on things. That would be a good time to have a costume jewelry replica to wear. 

Some ladies will just take theirs off and put it away, but others just don’t like to be seen without it. Digging in the dirt, going camping or hiking, or even going to the beach can be bad for that ring we love.

Those are the times we should leave the real thing at home and to put on the beautiful but inexpensive ring that looks just as good as the real thing.
