STRESS AT WORK

WHAT TO DO TO RELIEVE STRESS

Life at work can be a stressful place to be, what ever young do to earn your living or where ever you earn your living, whether in an office, a factory, or a school, we all get stress.

Some stress can be good for you. It can help motivate us and it helps to make us stronger. Having said that too much stress is bad is bad for us.

Stress will make you irrational, it can quite literally, kill us. Help is at hand there are certain things you can do that will help you reduce the stress you have at work and help you to cope better. 

 

TIPS ON WHAT TO DO TO RELIEVE

1. Chill out more
Smile, and do it more often. Laughing will reduce stress. Be more pleasant to the people who work with you. They in turn will be more pleasant to you.

2. Make where you work nicer for you
Make adjustments you need to the lighting, temperature, noise level, and other controllable factors in your office to help make you feel better.

3. How to improve your time management and organization skills
Get a to do list. Learn to say No. Ask for help. Do not set unrealistic goals for yourself or for those who work for you.

4. Listen more
Don't go getting upset with people at work when they disagree with you. You need to listen closely to what it is they have to say. Then find the areas that you can  agree on, but at the same time be assertive and stand up for yourself, but don't be to rigid.

5. Breathe deeply and relax
It doesn't matter how overwhelmed you are feeling, or how much work you have to do or if your boss is just coming down on you. One good thing to do is take a step back go somewhere quite and breathe deeply.

Breathe through your nose and out through your nose, you will calm down very quickly.

6. Keep the small stuff small
Don't try and change the things you know you cant change. Know that some things aren't worth worrying about.  

7. When you are working take more breaks
Just a short break will help, move away from your desk. Walk around the office, better still go out side for some fresh air. 

Take you lunch time break, go for a walk. Making time exercise it will help you reduce your stress levels. 

8. Talk to a friend
Talking can help a great deal, even about the small things in life. 

9.Mix with optimistic people
Being around negative people will make you more negative. 

10. Have more sleep
Sleeping will help to reduce your overall stress. It will also increase your energy levels and will help you to work better and to concentrate more.
